A jolly painting of 36x24 inches of my dear friend Katie when she lived in Toronto, a genuine tree hugger...now is living in Nova Scotia raising some wild breeds of chickens.  An original and unique and loving friend.

Kimono

Very fond of anything Asian, Chinese, Japanese, in fact went to visit China and took empty suitcases and came home stuffed with silk.  At the time had a business called Art on the Floor (floorcloths) that had the silk in it and POW everyone went crazy.  Got published in a book and was on TV and magazines..very exciting

Suzani Chair

Suzani, Eastern Russian weaves are just about the most original and brilliant items and once learned I added my own versions.  I always start out with the primary colours and then use an Azo Gold wash then add more colours, more wash until the luminous effect is achieved.

Red Scarf

Most of my work is done on wood panels and with mixed media.  Always curious to use new ideas and media on my work.  I enjoy the highly detailed textiles from ago and from different cultures
